A TECH INSPECTION MAY OCCUR AT ANY TIME DURING THE EVENT, IF IT IS FOUND THAT THERE IS AN INFRACTION OF THIS RULE, THE RACER WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. E.T. Limits:
The fastest qualifying ET permitted in the Open Comp class is 5.45 (1/8 mile). Any qualifying pass quicker than 5.45
will be disqualified and will not count. Competitor will be permitted
to re-qualify (if additional qualifying rounds are left) slower than 5.45. Competition will be regulated under standard IHRA "First or Worst" competition policy during qualifying and eliminations.
Self Staging & "DEEP" Staging:
All Open Comp

the starter to identify that you plan on going deep.
Courtesy Staging:
Courtesy
staging will be in effect during eliminations. Each competitor must
light only their Pre-stage bulb and wait for their competitor to light
their Pre-stage bulb.. Once both Pre-stage bulbs are lit either driver
can then fully stage. If this procedure is not followed
the starter can/will back the offender out of the staging beams and
have them re-stage properly. The starter at any time has the right to
disqualify any repeat offender.
Lane Choice:
During
1st round of elimination's the higher qualified car will have lane

drivers go under their dial-ins, the driver that is closer to his/her
dial will be awarded lane choice for that round.
Tow Vehicles:
Open
Comp does not allow tow vehicles of any sort in the staging lanes. You
can tow your vehicle back to the pits at the conclusion of your run
after exiting the racing surface.
